The Salon der Wissenschaft<\/strong> was an event format that gave people in our city the opportunity to talk to researchers from Braunschweig. There were no lectures; the focus was on interpersonal dialogue.<\/p>

About 30 scientists<\/strong> from Braunschweig’s research institutions explained their research and dreams in four 15-minute rounds. Who talked to whom was decided on the spot after a short introduction. Those who did not receive a ticket for a one-on-one conversation during a particular time slot, or who simply preferred to listen, were able to follow selected table conversations via headphones. The headphones were provided free of charge on site.<\/p>

Visitors had the opportunity to ask their questions and discuss exciting, forward-looking research topics.<\/p>

4 time slots, 20 tables, 15 minutes<\/b><\/h5>

After a short introduction on site, visitors were able to book slots for conversations. Those who did not receive a ticket for a one-on-one conversation during a particular slot, or who simply preferred to listen, were able to follow selected table conversations via headphones. The headphones were provided free of charge on site.<\/p>

During the breaks and after the last round of talks, conversations could be continued over food and drinks.<\/p>

The Salon der Wissenschaft is jointly organised by ForschungRegion Braunschweig e.V.<\/strong>, which brings together the research institutions in our region, and the City of Braunschweig<\/strong>. The format has been taking place annually since 2022.<\/p>

After the welcome session with Dr. Thorsten Kornblum (Mayor of the City of Braunschweig) and Prof. Dr. Angela Ittel (Chair of ForschungRegion Braunschweig e.V.), tickets for the individual conversation rounds could be booked as follows:<\/p>

18:50 – 19:15 – Break & ticket booking for slots 1 and 2 <\/span><\/p>

19:15 – 19:30 – 1st slot <\/span><\/p>

19:30 – 19:45 – Break & ticket booking for slots 2 and 3 <\/span><\/p>

19:45 – 20:00 – 2nd slot <\/span><\/p>

20:00 – 20:15 – Break & ticket booking for slots 3 and 4 <\/span><\/p>

20:15 – 20:30 – 3rd slot

20:30 – 20:45 – Break & ticket booking for slot 4<\/p>

20:45 – 21:00 – 4th slot<\/p>

Due to the high demand, only one ticket per person will be issued per break.<\/b><\/p>
